A while back I received a letter. My friend Sean Watkins and I wrote a song about it called ‘For The Sender,’ about how a letter is like a prayer in that it’s more for the sender.

I had big dreams as a singer-songwriter, some of which came true but left me unfulfilled, and some of which seemed still so far out of reach at the time we wrote that song. Only when I let those dreams go did I find that there was something bigger out there waiting for me, something more beautiful than I could have dreamed of creating: a book, album, and concert event about finding the extraordinary beauty in ordinary lives called For The Sender.

The second book was recently released by Hay House, and along the way I’ve found an amazing friend and supporter in Dr. Wayne W. Dyer and been blessed with experiences I could never have imagined.

So to celebrate, once a week we’ll post my thoughts on the message from each For The Sender chapter, making our way through both books and giving away a book autographed by the For The Sender family each time.

And we’ll start with with Chapter 1, Book 1. Have you ever thought that your dreams wouldn’t come true, only to find that something bigger and far better than you could have imagined was waiting for you? Share your story in the comments below and we’ll choose a post and send you a book autographed by the For The Sender family.
