The first time I saw him, I realized there was something special about his view of music. He was opening for Sister Hazel, and I expected a guy, a guitar, and a short, nondescript set of songs. Instead, six people walked out on stage to perform songs from Alex’s Up With the Sun. It was amazing. His focus was all about the presentation of his music. I was hooked on him after one song.
