Annie got hurt awhile ago. She’s been on stall rest for a long time, with a very gradual rehab, and never allowed the freedom of being off a lead rope. I’ve watched the energy build in her like a pressure cooker for months now. This horse is not built for stall rest.
Yesterday I decided enough was enough.
She reared on the way up into the arena and I felt like she was about to explode. I lead her in, took off her halter, and she calmly walked to center of the arena and rolled.
And then this happened… those of you who have read the second For The Sender book will understand where I’m coming from in the first few pages of that book when you see this.
Including that look in her eye.
